The brainchild of Angus Hutcheson, Ango, creates some of the most beautiful lamps I’ve ever seen. I think my brother sent me these too – I believe they were also in the Dead or Alive exhibit at MAD in NYC recently. I’m just so thrilled with what they look like though I can’t recall!

How awesome is that! Those are silk cocoons in their natural colors on a stainless steel frame. This one is called Formation.

This is Hanging Nest made of rattan. Their material choices are awesome – and the company appears to be based in Thailand.

Hanging World – also of rattan – is so exceptional. The forms are so organic and yet it still seems organized and secure. A lot of their products come as hanging lamps, table or floor options with similar if not matching shapes.

The above, Paradise, is also of silk cocoons. Ango’s material choices are very cool, everything from rattan, to cocoons, to mulberry tree bark, to hand soldered wire matrix, to hand cast polymer and tapioca skin, to freeform silicon lines – it’s all awesome.

I’m pretty sure this one includes some raw silk fibers making up the external casing. Some of these I think would be cool for a bathroom or cozy bedroom / loft space.

These cocoons have been dyed black – I love the effect of the glowing light out of the dark exterior. It’s like a planet or something.

I highly recommend checking out their site, they do more than lighting!
